I need a little pick me up now and then, and don't really like coffee or those high caffeine energy drinks, so a tablet is one way to do it. According to most sources, a cup of coffee has around 100mg. of caffeine (I am sure it depends on type and how strong it is), so one of these tablets is about the equivalent of 2 cups of coffee. Should be no danger in that for normal, healthy, people. A couple of things to note about these, though: for no identifiable reason, they seem to be quite a bit "hotter" than some other caffeine pills of allegedly equal strength. I can only assume this is because of a better, more thorough dispersion, probably the result of some difference in the binders used. That is the reason I say in my title "try a 1/2 tab at first", these are easy to break, you don't even need a pill spliter, you can just break them by pressing the center with both thumbnails at once. One thing about this or any other caffeine product, in case you are unaware. Caffeine is subject to "attenuation" in most individuals. That is, if you use it every day, you will gradually cease to see any effect, at least not from the same dose. That's one reason some people drink 10 cups of coffee a day. They started out with one, and at some point ceased to feel it. I, therefore, would not use these every day. All of that said, this seems to be the most effective caffeine tablet, for my occasional use, that I have found.
