Customer Reviews of Johnson's Baby Powder Cooling Cucumber Melon, 15-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6)Customer Review: Cucumber-melon is lovely, soft scent! Summary: 5 Stars
JnJ's cucumber melon is my all-time fave baby powder ... I've been using powder as deodorant for almost 30 years (since day I discovered it did not give me rash), and cucumber is nice and cool smell. Regular baby powder DOES smell like traditional baby! And the lavendar ... I really don't know why Kestral said the cucumber was an old-lady scent ... the lavendar, to me, is metallic-ish smelling, and cloying. It's artificial ... once you've smelled _real_ lavendar, you know how it should smell and that powder is not for me.
I've written to JnJ to ask why they've discontinued this product.
Btw, baby powder is also good if you color your hair at home ... before putting on the gloves that often come with hair coloring ... remove all rings from fingers and lightly dust hands, then gloves go on / off with ease.
Customer Review: It is everywhere! Summary: 5 Stars
It seems the latest new additive is the Cucumber Melon fragrance. Now it is even in my baby powder. But I have to say I like it. If you are not familiar with J and J baby powder there is no need for me to review it but I am happy with this new version.
Now not only does it make me feel good but it makes me smell good. Nothing wrong with that. And the price Amazon has is outstanding.
Customer Review: The best powder ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using this powder for about a year. This is the best smelling baby powder, light, clean and sexy. Works just like baby powder but I don't have to smell like one. I have not been able to find it in the last 6 months. I just called J&J. They have discontinued this product. It was a marketing decision. STUPID STUPID STUPID decision. Please bring it back.
Customer Review: Dreadful, smells like old-lady perfume Summary: 1 Stars
I can't imagine putting anything that smells like this on a baby. It's a strong cologne odor, not the light vegetal you would expect from cucumber melon. My husband is asthmatic, and when I used this before coming to bed, I had to get up and shower it off, the smell irritated his breathing that badly. I tossed this out and replaced it with Johnsons' Lavender, a much milder fragrance.
