I was given some of this Xeroform Petrolatum Gauze at the doctor's office to help heal and protect a toe that had the nail and some skin ripped off. This is a wonderful product. A small square on your wound will keep any gauze or bandage from sticking to it and being painful to remove. It stays moist for a long time too, so a bandage doesn't need to be messed with often. I used this for a month and I highly recommend it.
HOWEVER. Do not buy it from Medex supply. I paid for expedited shipping and it arrived in 5 days still. Not worth the $12 I paid. Also, they list their product as being a 4"x3 yrds roll. Don't be fooled. It is a 5"x9" sheet. You are not getting more for your money or a better deal. You're just having the wool pulled over your eyes.
