When full of cards, these card holders tend to tip over easily...not a good thing if you don't want your opponents to see your hand. They do grip and release the cards well enough. We wound up gluing the card holder to a base to prevent it from tipping. We would rather have been forewarned. Would not have purchased these if we had known.Customer Review: Maybe it's good for those with limited hand strength

but if your user has had a stroke and needs something to hold the cards, this isn't it. It's not particularly stable and the cards don't come out all that easily once you have more than about 5 in there. I'd go for one of the flat wooden ones instead. Great idea for people with 2 operating hands...Customer Review: N/A
