Those of us who suffer from IBS will be delighted to discover this generic version of Imodium A-D. Imodium A-D works very well but is expensive (IMHO) and it is packaged in those annoying plastic bubble and foil/paper backed cards of pills, one pill per bubble, when most of the time one needs two of the pills to halt an attack of diarrhea and cramping.

This generic version works just as well, is very inexpensive, and the pills are loose in a bottle all together instead of in the annoying plastic bubble per pill. (Can you tell how much I hate plastic bubble packaging???)

This products gets rid of both the abdominal cramping of the attack as well as the loose stools; it is just as effective as Imodium A-D. My attacks usually occur in the evening. After using this product, I get relief in 30 to 60 minutes and by the next morning I am regular again (does not cause constipation). It's great stuff.

Description of Kirkland Signature Anti-Diarrheal, 400-Count Caplets

Adults and Children 12 years and over: 2 caplets after the first loose stool; 1 caplet after each subsequent loose stool; but no more than 4 caplets a day. Children 9 - 11 years (60 - 95 lbs.): 1 caplet after the loose stool; 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose stool; but no more than 3 caplets a day. Children 6 - 8 years (48 - 59 lbs.): 1 caplet after the first loose stool; 1/2 caplet after each subsequent loose stool; but no more than 2 caplets a day. Children under 6 years (up to 47 lbs.): Ask a doctor (not intended for use in children under 6 years old).
