Customer Review: Why I like the multi-colored lancets

I really like having these multi-colored lancets because when I put a new colored lancet in my lancet device I put the new cap on top of the old lancet of a different color to discard and then I don't have to wonder whether I have a new or old lancet on the table in front of me. I kind of disfunctional that way, a memory about an inch long, and sometimes I have more than one new lancet on the table if I'm putting a few new ones into my testing kit.
I get along fine with these lancets for sticking myself. I can avoid some of the pain if I'm careful to have warm soft (clean) hands and if I'm careful to stick myself to the side of my finger and avoid using the same spot too often. (I'm a newer diabetic and have never used alternate testing sites.)
I think these lancets fit in various lancet devices (I use the Bayer Microlet 2), and my insurance company pays for them even though they won't pay for the Bayer meter or strips. The Bayer Microlet 2 lancet device is available on Amazon right now for $3.99 plus shipping so you can afford to switch devices relatively inexpensively. (I've found it for as much as $24.99 elsewhere.)
The other reason I like these lancets is very trivial. . . . having diabetes is a problem and testing myself all the time is tedious and annoying and boring, and choosing a new color (what kind of a mood am I in today?) lancet is about as exciting as it gets.
