Customer Reviews of Lansinoh Affinity Double Electric Breast Pump

Customer Review: Great, affordable product
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great breast pump! When I tried it out, its suction and feel was just like the one in the hospital. I know it doesn't have a "let-down" button, but I find I don't really need such a thing as long as I've adjusted speed and suction to the right settings. I use it multiple times a day at home and at work. It's cheaper than any of the others on the market like it. I can't speak for the newer Affinity pump, but this original pump works great. The bottles are of standard size, so you can buy really cheap storage bottles from pretty much any company to fit this pump. Also, it's lightweight, has very few parts (easy to wash), and is easy to carry. Because it's so affordable, I'm trying to order a second one for work so I don't have to carry back and forth from home to work.

NOTE: If you order from AmericaRX (one of Amazon's preferred sellers), beware--they will send you the Lansinoh AFFINITY pump, which is different from the original double electric pump. The parts of both pumps are not interchangeable. Because I was ordering a second pump for work and I already own the double electric breast pump, I ended up with two different products, and it is a tough to process a return, even though it's the wrong product. ("The picture on Amazon is just a representation, Ma'am." It's AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PUMP!) I'm still in the process of finding out whether I'll have to file a claim with Amazon to get my money back, and then I'm going to hunt for the original pump elsewhere.

Customer Review: Excellent pump at a great price
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this pump a little over a year ago after researching the many options on the market. I work full time and a good pump was an absolute must for me.

The Lansinoh pump really stood up to the test. I have just recently weaned my 1 year old daughter, and I was able to pump enough milk for her for the entire year while working. The pump worked as good on my last session as it did on my first session. It was incredibly easy to use, and VERY easy to clean which is a must if you are pumping at work. I loved that no milk or condesation could develop in the tubes, as can be a problem with other brands of pumps. It was easy to assemble quickly during my short pumping breaks at work, and I loved that it was so light to carry back and forth each day.

The only downsides are that replacement parts aren't easily found in stores, but it comes with several extra valves plus I just ordered some online as needed...I would replace them every month or so to keep the suction at its strongest. Also it doesn't come with a bag or cooler, but the hospital 'freebie' diaper bag worked great at first, and later I bought a cute tote bag at Target along with a small lunchbox/cooler to carry the milk in...worked fine and didn't look like a 'breastpump bag' like so many do.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this pump to anyone, especially those working outside the home who have to pump frequently.

Customer Review: LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I bought this because my manual pump wasn't cutting it. It would take my entire lunch to pump 3 oz. So I did my research and decided that for the price and good reviews it would be a good choice. I was right!I only can compare it to 2 other pumps; my manual medela lactina and the medela in style pump (my friend lent me hers a few times). I can get the same amount of expressed milk with the Lansinoh pump as with the medela in style (6-8 oz in 15-20 min). With the In Style and Lansinoh, there is the single pump option. Both make a little noise that is comparable to background "white noise", which is actually kind of comforting! Both were painless, the manual medela lactina however was not so comfy. Both were portable, I especially liked how my entire lansinoh pump system fit into a small insulated lunch bag (has 2 separate insulated compartments-1 for my milk and 1 for pump system). Also, if I need to pump where there are no outlets, there is the battery option, it uses double AAs. The major deciding factor was price. I got my lansinoh double pump system on Amazon for $124, where the medela pump in style was about $350. I am very happy with my choice! I just dont understand how the medela pump in style is worth DOUBLE the money...if its just for the bag it comes in, you can choose your own bag and still have money to spare!

Customer Review: Good product and great customer service

Picking the right breast pump is a hard decision because you can't take it for a test drive, it can't be returned and it's not cheap. So I did a lot of research before purchasing this pump. All in all I am very happy with my decision.

I have been pumping 2 - 3 times per day while at work for 6 months. Many reviews criticized that this pump did not come with a carrying case. I actually preferred this, so I could pick out a bag of my choice. I also like that it is not built into a big bulky bag. I purchased a lunchbox that fits perfectly and is discrete. Since it was made to be a lunchbox, it is insulated and perfect for transporting milk at the end of the day.

Recently right in the middle of using the breast pump, it stopped working. The pump continued to make noise, even though it sounded slightly different, however there was no suction. I called Lansinoh and with no hassles they gave me a return authorization. I mailed back the parts using priority mail on a Tuesday. I received a brand new pump on Friday of the same week. I received GREAT customer service. My only complaint is they made me return all original parts. As these used parts can't be reused, they will just end up in a landfill. I don't understand why I couldn't keep the extra flanges, bottles, power adapter etc.

Customer Review: Affordable pump for a full-time pumper
Summary: 5 Stars

I am an avid reader of customer reviews so I love to share my experience after the much researched purchase. My daughter is now 8 months old and I have been pumping full time since she was about 10 weeks with the Lansinoh pump and I must say I am very satisfied. I currently pump about four times a day for 15-20 minutes to produce a days milk supply for my baby. (Earlier, I was pumping 6 times a day!) The pump is easy to clean and milk never touches the tubes.
2 recommendations:
1. You may need to buy the larger breast shields from lansinoh's website. I just found them more comfy and a better fit. I am currently a D cup with my milk.
2. You will DEFINITELY need to buy additional white valves (you'll know what they are when you purchase). It comes with two sets because they are so fragile, they are bound to tear or just lose suction with prolonged use. I think I am on my 4th set. You can buy these on lansinoh's website for very cheap (a few dollars for several sets). I would do so right away because if one breaks it will not function!

So I would highly recommend this product. I plan on pumping until my daughter is a year old and will hopefully get to use this pump with my next child. Good luck with your purchase and I hope your experience will be as positive as mine.
