Customer Reviews of LifeSign DietMate Handheld Weight, Cholesterol, and Hypertension Control ComputerCustomer Review: Stored for 18 years and still works! Summary: 5 Stars
First let me tell you about the the durability of the unit. I had it stored for 16 years. I moved it to Arizona, had it packed for another 2 years and I just put batteries in it and it still works! I need to lose 15 lbs for surgery so I pulled it out put in batteries and it started right up. No pills, chemicals or going hungry. Great customer service, I lost the manual and they're replacing it. Don't lend it out, you'll never get it back. That's what happened to our LifeSign unit to quit smoking. People just kept passing it around to family and friends to stop smoking and we never saw it again. I think of the loss as a public service.
Customer Review: Simple, but amazingly usable Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent helper to all who need to lose weight. Helps even afterwards. I am using one myself, and cannot think of enough praise. Things that can easily be forgotten, get done ... and all the reminding is happening without anybody knowing about it. It's a mate for those who do not like the whole world to discuss their losing weight.
Customer Review: Lost 30 pounds! Summary: 5 Stars
I used this product and can't say enough good things about it. My friend bought it for me for my birthday and it was fun and easy to use and I lost 30 pounds in 6 months and I was never hungry. I ate at restaurants and always managed to find a perfect menu in my DietMate. I love it. thank you
Customer Review: Title and description incorrect! This is only for weight, not cholesterol or hypertension Summary: 2 Stars
The title and description for this unit is incorrect. It's a DietMate for weight control only. If you want either the cholesterol or hypertension ones, you have to order them separately on the company's website.
As for the units, they appear to have been made in 1991, which means the food options are not up to date. Frankly, many common foods are not in it, even ones that were available in 1991. For example, I've used it for 1 day, and I've already discovered that its food database doesn't have nuts, protein shakes, chicken burgers, soy milk, energy bars, and granola bars. I'm sure I'll find more as I keep using it. The company should issue an updated, more powerful version with a PC hookup for updates.
