Great low power bulb. I had my suspicions about a 5 dollar bulb since I am such a miser. When I plugged this in I was not expecting much. Light is very important to me because I tend to keep my bulbs dimmed as opposed to full power. I had been using a regular 100-watt soft white bulb. I have a 4 stage touch dimming lamp, off, low, medium and high. My 100-watt had been buzzing for awhile at low and medium and was driving me crazy. After I put this one in I was surprised that it had no buzzing sound at the medium and low levels, on my dimmer lamp! One very impressive thing about this bulb is it helped me realize my walls are actually off-white as opposed to white. I guess this bulb really brought out the true color of my wall, not sure if thats even a feature but I use to think my walls were white. At my medium and high level setting and because of the wall colors it's almost a summerish kind of color. A white wall would probably reflect true white. The frosting on this bulb is just like in the picture. I only use this for low light so keep that in mind. Should I ever need to replace my ceiling light I would probably get a 100-watt full spectrum bulb of this kind. I am very happy and pleased with this 60 watt version for my low lighting situation.
