This is the yummiest calcium I have tried. My doctor recommended calcium citrate or calcium triphosphate, and of those options these are the latter and are my favorites.
They're expensive. And they're for kids and thus a normal adult needs to take quite a few of them. Life is sooo hard when I am forced to eat gummy bears multiple times a day :D They're sweet. The fruit flavors may not be great for candy but are wonderful for vitamins. Everything being relative.
Supposedly human adults can only absorb about 500 mg or Calcium at once, which in bears = 5. Rather than eat 10 bears per day in 2 batches, I have 4 in the evening and take 2 Citracal petites (calcium citrate) in the morning.
Granted, they don't have the consistency of normal gummy bears, so some of you might be disappointed. They're less rubber-bouncy and more like the consistency of orange slices candies or spice drop candies - it's easy to sink your teeth in, and the bear sticks just a little to your teeth as you chew. But for someone who can't swallow pills and really needs a lot of calcium, these Calcium bears are perfect.
