These flossers are for tiny teeth. Maybe for a 2 to 3 yr old! Any child over 4 should use a bigger flosser - the gap where the floss is is pretty short, and doesn't go in easily on bigger teeth. The floss shreds easily. Plastic wrapping is OK, but so what if they can't otherwise do the job.Customer Review: Floss shreads

If the child's teeth are close together and there is moderate friction applied to the floss, it will shread. (By the way, don't even consider using if you are an adult: it will get stuck in your teeth and tear.)
