I've used the SimpleHuman automatic soap dispensers for over a year now and had pretty good luck with most of them. However, for the price, and due to the fact that I had a few of them stop working correctly, I was looking for a more reliable automatic dispenser and a better price. SimpleHuman must have been the first manufacturer of these "at home" dispensers, because a year ago they were about the only ones that came up in a google search, and now there are quite a few. I bought three of these Lysol dispensers the other day and they are extremely easy to set up and so far have worked every time. I like the look of them as they aren't as big as the SimpleHuman ones, so they fit on the sink alot better. They have an on and off switch in the back, which is handy when you have to move it for cleaning, etc. The SimpleHuman ones have a dial that you have to turn to off position and it's not easy to do. I got the Lysol dispensers at Target at $9.99 each, so three of them doesn't even equal the price of one of the SimpleHuman ones. Seeing as these type of soap dispensers most likely won't last forever, I'd prefer the Lysol brand. Soap dispenses the right amount and smells good (not too strong as some reviewers commented). I will try the refilling idea of cutting a whole in the top. . .should save some money.
