I and other siblings have been plagued by earaches from infancy. Finally, out of desperation (ear infections every 3-4 weeks for several months) I "googled" and found this. The reviews indicated that it worked well for most reviewers and I decided to try it. I work in a plant where we must constantly wear hearing protection and by using it faithfully over the past couple of months, I'm cured! I use it after showers, before and after work, during breaks at work and before I go to bed at night. I tell everyone I know who has ear problems to get one of these and to start using it - I really do believe that the misery of earaches is behind me.Customer Review: Pays for itself with one day of diving not missed

My wife & I have had ear problems on dive trips occasionally. Australia in 2006 was my turn, and I lost a day's diving due to an outer ear infection--despite have rinsed my ears with fresh water regularly.
We got one of these devices before last year's trip to the Raja Ampat Islands, which are pretty much beyond the edge of the Earth, and used this ear dryer religiously. No problems for either of us. Plus it's kind of cool looking. We'll definitely bring this on all future dive trips.

My ENT recommended I get an ear dryer because my ears itch because of secretions. I have tubes in my ears and cannot use rubbing alcohol to dry them the way some swimmers can.
The seller shipped me Mack's ear dryer. When I wrote complaining, they told me that they had discontinued carrying the Sahara DryEar and that Mack's was just as good. (I have no way of telling whether or not that is true although physically the 2 brands look identical.) The seller offered me a refund if I wanted to return the ear dryer. Instead I opted to keep the Mack's ear dryer if the seller would refund me the difference in price between the Sahara DryEar and the Mack's ear dryer. They agreed and I kept the Mack's.
The ear dryer seems to help with my itchy ears but I'm not sure.
