I purchased these magnifying glasses for my 90 year old mother who has difficulty reading with her prescription glasses alone. I ordered these for a friend with macular degeneration to try. They didn't work for her, but I am keeping them. They will be perfect for very close work like getting out splinters. The lenses are very clear. The Bausch and Lomb large acrylic 2X hands free magnifier with a neck strap worked for reading for my friend with macular degeneration. With the Bausch and Lomb magnifier, it was easy and comfortable for her to adjust the position of the newspaper so that the focus was right for her. The clip on the flip ups also require a bit of hand strength and dexterity. For an elderly person who can't see, it is difficult to attach the clip ons. Since they flip up they could be left on the glasses all the time. I think the real problem with using these for reading is that the only way to adjust the focal length is by moving the book, and it might be difficult to get in a comfortable position. I am happy to have them and would have given them five stars if I had been looking for a magnifier that allowed my 65 year old eyes to focus at about three inches.Customer Review: A very useful product which was as advertised! :-)

The title says it all mostly. Besides the fact that these functional clip-on reading lenses make me look like a total geek *winks* I am most satisfied with their performance to date. My only minor nit is that there was a 4x green sticker on the left lens which was extremely hard to remove both in peeling off the sticker itself and the gunky film it left on the lens. I had to obtain some professional-grade glass cleaner and apply it twice to remove this sticker. Other than that, though, I am very pleased with these clip-ons and use them most days to read the small print tech news on my mobile's small screen. Interestingly enough after buying this item, I came across a pair of 6x strength reading glasses which I subsequently purchased. When I receive them, I will be tendering a separate review - food for thought for those in the market for very magnified reading lenses.Customer Review: Great product

I received the Magniclip Clip-on Magnifying Lens in 4X Strength today. I am satisfied with the product. They take the place of my opti visor which has the same strength. Very portable and love the flip up lens.
