I bought this battery pack for my wife's iTouch, specifically for long plane rides where the internal battery pack won't suffice while watching movies. The Maxell battery pack gave us about 8 or 9 hours of extra video time, which was just a little less than I was expecting, but still great. So with the extra 8 hours we were able to watch video for a total of about 13 hours. And just to reinforce what others have said, this battery pack does NOT charge your iTouch internal battery. If you want a really reliable, working back-up power source that was designed with total understanding of principles of iPod, buy this one.I just got mine yesturday and my iPod 3G works already for 22 hours. And it's battery indicator shows no signs of juice loss! I've tried Griffin, Macally, Power Stick - total waist of money, batteries and time. This one is a little bulky, but it is the one that will work right out of box. And it is even kind of cute with it's bright blue indicator light and glossy white surface.Customer Review: Great Product

Works as described!!! I have an Ipod Touch and it works great!! It does not charge it though, the battery in the touch just doesn't drain as you use it.
The lights that say how much power it has can vary and is not always accurate. Unless its on and plugged in it will give faulty readings on its true power.
Overall it was worth the money spent!!! Will buy from again! it came in 2 days with standard shipping! Great people to deal with!!!!

Only had the unit for about an hour; I have a second-generation iPod (10 gigs) and the unit works perfectly (instructions say it is not compatable with the mini). Price was good, battery vs. rechargable pack is a minor concern, and the unit does doubles the iPod size and probably tripples the weight, but that wasn't one of my concerns, just battery life. Expecting the 15-20 hours as per the manufacture, and will re-post if not happy.Customer Review: Great power supply when you can't plug in

The Maxell iPod battery pack did everything as promised. I like the fact that it has lights indicating when the batteries are getting low. I used it on my flight back and forth from Europe and never even broke out the second set of batteries. It's bulky, but I was only using it on the airplane so that didn't matter. I would recommend it for anyone unsure about plugging in their iPod in a foreign country.
