I have been using humidifiers for over thirty years. The bigger they are, the harder they are to keep clean. Even if you empty a large one frequently to clean it many of them have hard to reach areas to try and clean. If you don't keep them clean they are throwing bacteria into the air. We moved to Grand Junction Colorado where it is very arid and I found this little beauty at Wal Mart. The price seemed high but it was small and looked like it would be enough to keep the bedroom humidity at a tolerable level.
I fully agree with the Telluride owner. I also found the glitch she spoke about with the water level about six months later. I thought it had quit working. I went back to Walmart to buy another one but they had quit selling them and I don't think it had anything to do with the quality of the unit. I went back home and I puttered around and found what the Telluride owner said to be true regarding the water level. Once I dried it out and started over it worked again. I also put Eucalyptis oil in it and it works just fine. It is just the right size for a 12 x 15 bedroom. A+
