My 4-year-old granddaughter decided she did not like getting her fingers dirty with her finger paints...go figure. So I chose these brushes because of price and the company's reputation for quality. She liked them, I liked them, and they seem quite durable. The handles are color coded so the user can avoid mixing colors on one brush. Truth is, a 4-year-olds will mix or not as they please. But as an adult, I found the color coding a nice touch.
