I bought this product mainly for use in the car, whose bucket-style seats have been a pain in my back ever since I suffered a mild lumbar injury. It seemed like there was too much space between my lower back and the car seat, and the lack of support there consequently led to an unavoidable back ache. With this cushion in place, the soreness and pains have vanished. It's not bulky at all either, so I'm barely aware that it's there except for the fact that my back is not bothering me. Yay!
