This stand is excellent for safety razors and brushes. It appears several reviewers are using this stand incorrectly and giving it low ratings due to their error.
If the safety razor is laid horizonally in the groove on the top of the stand (not rested with the head in the groove) all is perfect! As a result, the stand works perfectly for a safety razor and brush (or a mach 3, Trac 2, etc).
This stand looks to be crafted by fine artisans. It is a gorgeous additon to my shave den! It holds the brush and virtually all safety razors perfectly. It is a great bargain and will help preserve your shave brush while storing it and your razor.

Our Mission Style shave stand will ensure proper brush drying while storing both your razor and brush. Please note that for Safety Razors, the razors are stored by placing them horizontally across the groove on the top of the stand. For cartridge razors, they can be placed vertically in the stand with the razor head in the groove. This stand has a beautiful finish and is made of high quality hardwoods to resist water damage.
