I've purchased 3 of these for my own use and one for my elderly mother. They are invaluable for a person with chronic back problems. I have one in the garage, one in the laundry room, and one in the bedroom. Three of my spinal discs are gone, and these tools are used virtually every day for retrieving small items that fall on the floor. They work great for socks, trinkets, nuts, bolts, paper, and even coins. I even use one to unload the clothes dryer. For back related pain avoidance I've never found anything better.
