Customer Reviews of Mommy's Helper Safer Grip Portable Shower Arm

Customer Review: Works great
Summary: 5 Stars

This works great. It turned a regular size shower into one made just right for a three year old.

Customer Review: Great for use with shower bench
Summary: 4 Stars

I got this because I had foot surgery which required zero weight bearing and the need for a shower bench. I admit I growled at it a few times to get it to stay where I wanted, but it has stayed in place for over 4 weeks. With this item I can place the shower nozzle in easy reach from the bench and had a comfortable level, so I do not feel I am getting too much or too little from up above. If you or anyone you know uses a shower bench I highly recommend this item.

I am not sure about use with a child as I have visions of them grabbing it and hosing down the whole bathroom! That said, when they are little and in the tub it would be great for the adult to have easy reach for shampooing and such.

Customer Review: ok, but
Summary: 4 Stars

The shower holder is build solidly and works, but do not leave the shower in it when not in use. One night it scared me half to death because the suction eventually gave out and the holder fell off the wall. It tossed the hand shower I left in it into the tub bouncing around. It created quite a bit of noise which in the middle of the night was unexpected and startling.

The holder can hold the shower in only one position - straight up and down. I was hoping to use it in a different orientation and did not work, but I know this was an odd requirement so I am not marking down the holder for it.

Customer Review: Good product and has it uses
Summary: 4 Stars

I have a shower with multiple showerheads that apparently were built for basketball players. I'm 5'6" and I have to stand on my tippy-toes to get the hand-held showerhead out of the holder to use as hand-held. This was just what I was looking for; however, the way it is designed sort of makes the showerhead sit parallel with the wall because it doesn't have enough room for the head with the hose attached to be directed horizontally. So, I resorted to twisting the head sort of sideways to get the water to spray "on" me as opposed to "at" me. It works but be mindful that it may not be the Holy Grail.

Customer Review: Works great.
Summary: 4 Stars

Recently I had a total knee replacement and have had to sit on a shower stool to shower for several weeks. This allows me to bring the optional hand held shower head down to where I can reach it easily plus it can be stationary when I want it to be instead of just dangling at the bottom of the tub. I can see that it could be a great tool for children and grandchildren to bring the shower down to their height. It stays securely to the wall with the strong suction cup. We have ceramic tile, so our surface is just right for attaching it. A great invention.
