I bought this because I often visit a family member whose shower has absolutely nothing to hold onto. I'm aware that this is not a product designed to carry your weight, and I use it simply to help with balance. At 72 years of age, I need that security in the shower. This really hangs onto the wall tightly, but is not difficult to remove. Small enough to fit in your suitcase, too. My friend is a retired physical therapist who just recommended these for my husband who needs some assistance with safety in the shower. He gave me one to try and I was very impressed. They must be used on a smooth surface like tub or shower tile. They appear to be very secure and easy to attach and detach without harming the surface. This is a great little hand grip to help maintain balance when getting in and out of the tub/shower. I got this for home use as well as vacation use in a hotel. the grip stays in place, seems very secure and is well made. I also purchased a larger unit, same brand, that is used in the same tub/shower and together they provide an additional degree of balance and safety. I highly recommend this product. Looks well made. Unfortunately, the suction cup is wider than my tiles (subway tiles) - so cannot stick for me.
Not a problem with the product though - just unlucky for me!
