Customer Review: 'Wow,' not 'ow.' Won't use anything else!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'd tried all sorts of products for hair removal, but all of them had their flaws. I figured Moom would be no different, but decided to buy it because I was looking for a natural product and there were such great reviews (no pain, easy clean-up, etc.). I've used microwaveable body wax (sticky and complicated to get ready), naturally bare honey wax (natural, but extremely sticky/messy and hard to grasp the clear strips), wax strips (easy to use, but more wasteful than I'd like) and cream/gel hair removers (also gross).

I ordered Moom shortly after I'd waxed, but when I got it a week later I was anxious to try it. Moom was super easy-to-use--similar to the honey wax, but much less messy (even when I heated it). The fabric strips were easy to grab and there are plenty of them. On my face, Moom picked up shorter hairs my wax had missed or broken off. I love that it is sensitive enough for my face, but it's strong enough to use on the rest of my body. I didn't even have to hold my breath using Moom on my bikini line (though I did have to go over some sections a couple of times either because the hair was so coarse or maybe because I'm still getting used to the correct way to spread Moom). There is a bit of a sting, but it doesn't linger like the hard wax does and the skin is smooth right away, with the redness disappearing quickly.

It was so much less painful than hard wax, easier to use than the honey wax, and more precise than the pre-made wax strips. And the clean-up was so easy. I love that the strips are reusable, and that the residue washed off easily off of my skin and the strips. I won't lie--I didn't expect it to be as great as all of the reviews had set it out to be, but all I could do was say "Wow!" I'll be tossing my honey wax and my tub of microwaveable wax now.

Customer Review: Effective and oddly painless, just be sure to use it right
Summary: 5 Stars

I just used this for waxing my bikini line. I'm new to waxing that area and I'm completely new to this kind of wax (I normally use wax strips for my upper lip).

*Pain: When it comes to ripping your hair out, stinging is what I typically expect. But this stuff doesn't really burn or sting when you rip it off; it's kind of hard to describe. I'd say it's more of a pressure as you pull it off your skin. On a relative scale, tweezing, getting your blood drawn, pulling a Band-Aid off your arm, and those horrible Sally Hansen wax strips definitely hurt more than this. For some reason, I was terrified every time I was about to pull a strip off, but it was always underwhelming.

*Effectiveness: It works provided you apply it properly. If you put it on too thick, it's not going to work. You've got to spread it out super thin (basically scrape the stuff off in the direction of the hair growth, leaving a very thin layer). It sometimes does leave a few stray hairs here and there, but it's no big deal -- just reapply (since it doesn't irritate the skin, this isn't a problem) or tweeze them out. I'd say it removes ~90% of the hair where you apply it. Rubbing on a little baby powder before applying can help.

*Messiness: Yeah, it's kind of messy and can be kind of stringy, but it cleans up very easily with just warm water.

***Tips: I cannot emphasize this enough: WATCH THE MOOM INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO ON YOUTUBE. Even if you've been waxing for years, just watch it to make sure you know how to apply it. Also, apply it in small areas (e.g. 1 by 1.5 inches) because it's easier to rip out a few hairs at a time than a million hairs at a time.

Customer Review: Not recommended for leg hair but for everything else!

I got this stuff a week after I ordered it. I was so amazed at this stuff! It smells good, 100% organic, tastes good, (I had some on my fingers and licked it off and it was delicious, but I don't eat it by the spoonful lol..)

I am most happy with the muslin cloths, especially since they're washable, which means that you don't have to throw them away and replace them. Just soak them in hot water for a few minutes, wring them out, and throw them in the dryer. They can last for years.

This wax is extremely sticky and kind of stringy, so be cautious when opening it, otherwise you're gonna have a wax mess everywhere.

Ok, so I tried this stuff on my legs first and even though it didn't rip all the hair out, it got a good amount. The jar is too small to waste on my legs anyways, so I'm going to stick to the facial region only, like upper lip and stuff, since the hair is finer. I don't mind at all because this means that I am not wasting the wax on my legs. You only need a small amount and it goes a long way, and I'm very happy.

I will definitely be ordering a couple more of these.

Summary:

Pros - 100% ORGANIC, Reusable Muslin cloths, convenient wooden spatulas, leaves skin silky smooth, no irritation, can be used warm or cold.

Cons - Very very sticky which has the potential to be messy, and not exactly the greatest on courser hair (i.e. leg hair)

Overall 5/5 stars, will buy again.

Customer Review: AMAZING - Won't use anything else!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have very sensitive skin that turns red and blisters after waxing. To make matters worse, I had shingles a few years ago on the left side on my face. While the shingles lesions quickly went away, I was left with pretty severe post herpetic neuralgia (aka: pain) on the left side of my face. This pain has made waxing and tweezing excruciating. In addition, I have very pale skin and dark hairs on my upper lip.

We have a few "sugaring" salons in the area, but it is very pricey to have sugaring done. I found this product while doing an Amazon search. I purchased the classic kit (with tea tree oil).

I tried my Moom for the first time yesterday on my upper lip and eyebrow area. This product is amazing. I agree with all of the reviewers: Easy to apply, easy to clean up, and (for me anyway) virtually pain free. I had a little bit of redness (above my eyebrow on the side that was affected by shingles), but the redness quickly went away. NO Bumps! No blisters!! 100% hair free - Whoo Hoo!

Before using this product, I do recommend going to the Moom website. They have some very helpful educational information and a video tutorial which I found very helpful. While waxing my eyebrows, I used toothpicks to apply the sugar. The toothpicks were just the size I needed to direct the sugar over my fine eyebrow hairs.

I will NEVER spend money to go to a sugaring/waxing salon again.

Customer Review: Tired EVERYTHING else and this is the BEST!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Okay, so I bikini wax. I've had it done professionally (expensive, painful, left with wax stuck to my skin and areas missed). Tired the hard wax at home. HORRIBLE. Painful and didn't get the hair. Tried the Surgi strips. Not bad but still didn't get all the hair and left wax on my skin that was NOT coming off. Tired the Moom and it is amazing. Apply it very, very thin in the direction of the hair growth, lightly rub down on the muslin strips then give it a good, continuous yank. Not as painful as the other stuff I tried and so much more effective. And I did not get purple marks from burst blood vessels which happened with all the other methods. And the redness went away amazingly fast. Not messy. Cleans up with warm water. I really don't like reusing the strips, which you can because they clean up easily with warm water, but it grosses me out. So I bought a roll of muslin waxing strip and cut it to size. When you're done waxing I screw the lid on nice and tight and rinse any wax on the bottle off. If the bottle sticks shut for the next use, run it under hot water and it softens the sugar. It usually takes 20 seconds in my microwave to heat it up. As you use it it might become hard again, just give it another 10 seconds. This is so easy and effective I think I'll start waxing my legs too. Very pleased with this product.
