My partner & I have used natural laundry detergents for as long as I can remember, usually Seventh Generation & occasionally Ecover. It was only a year ago that we decided to give Mrs. Meyer's laundry detergent a try because we love Mrs. Meyer's hand soap and lotion. I wish we'd been using it all along!! At first, I cringed at the price of the 6-pack, because it seemed like so much to spend on laundry detergent, and for "only" 6 bottles. Well, It is now almost exactly a year after I made that purchase, and we are just now down to under half a bottle of the last bottle.
We wash all of our clothes & linens in Mrs. Meyer's, which hasn't given my partner's EXTREMELY sensitive skin any problems. My delicates have survived just fine, and our stinkiest clothes came out of the wash smelling fresh and clean (we have 3 male goats that we spend a lot of time with because we're training them to be pack goats... They weren't "fixed" until the end of the summer, and unneutered male goats produce an odor that rivals skunk! Another wonderful thing about goats, they LOVE to rub on you, and yet Mrs. Meyer's took care of the smell like it was nothing)!
And you can't beat the price. After I did the math, I realized we used to spend literally twice as much on detergent. This was the most effective & economically sensible laundry detergent purchase I've ever made.
