This is an Excellent product for months I suffered with a build up of fluid behind my ears and also blocked sinuses and Mucinex has pretty much cured me! I had fluid that just would not drain but after taking this 4x a day for about 2 weeks my hearing is just about back to normal and no more blocked nose either! Also, I could feel it working because I was blowing my nose a lot more getting rid of all that nasty mucus and I could feel the difference the more I used it because I felt a lot less pressure inside of my head! I've used Mucinex ever since it became over-the-counter (OTC). Its intended use is for chest congestion. It loosens phlegm and allows your coughs to be more productive.
The reason I like it is that I don't tolerate decongestants well, so this at least thins out the mucus and relieves my sinus congestion. I have not been abe to find any other substitue. Plus, it works for 12-hours, which helps keep it in your system while symptoms persist.
There are a few other versions of the product containing cough suppressants and decongestants, but for me, this does the trick.

I have problems with so many of the infection fighting meds on the market. They cause bad side effects, and often do not do what they should. This last go around over $1000 in medications and each round made the problem WORSE.
I took two of these tables and they stopped on an oncoming attack of bronchitis. But to my surprise they knocked out a sinuses infection that had been dragging on for two months.
I could have save $1000 if I have these from the start.
Amazing stuff.

I don't think you will find too many people - manufacturers excluded - that think that Mucinex 12-hr. is reasonably priced. The manufacturer charges what they do because they can; they simply have no competition in the extended release formulation.
That being said, Mucinex 12-hr really does work well, so if you're gonna ride you need to buy a ticket. Shopping around on the web led me to this vendor and I just try to maximize my savings with combined shipping and larger bottles.

I was hesitant about buyin this product cuz it's expensive but there were hardly any other meds over the counter on sale since everything was gone cuz a lot of ppl r sick right now. It's been 2 days I've taken one tablet per day and it is helpin me so much. I thought I get my bad asthma symptoms by now n have breathing complications but Mucinex have been keepin my lungs clean =) so I'm just dealing with a regular cold which I feel so much better now. Worth the buy even though it's expensive.
