Customer Review: Decent--but sounds very artificial

I found this product to be quite a charm, however, the first time I put it to use--it was simply too loud and too mechanical. This product, to me, sounded more like a beating heart of a robot than that of a person. I tried muffling it by putting it under another pillow, which helped slightly, but not enough to make it sound realistic. I did not return it in the end because despite its sound, it is still pretty adorable.Customer Review: heartbeat more like heart attack

I was very excited to get this "beating heart" before the estimated date of delivery (which is why 2 stars), but that was the end of any excitement. As the directions say, squeeze against your body and hear the soothing sounds of a rhythmic heartbeat that will relax you to where your heartbeat will eventually become the same rhythm. Well, let me tell you, I think this heart was trying to give us a heart attack. It started out loud and just continued to get louder the longer you left it on. It sounded more like a rough, machine grinding than a relaxing, rhythmic heartbeat. Needless to say I returned the item weeks ago, but still haven't gotten my money back. This has made me very unhappy and skeptical, and I am hesitant to buy again due to this. I have bought before without issue, but now, holding off since I have no product and no money. Sincerely, an unhappy camper...
UPDATE.... I received an email from the company (seller) asking to let everyone know that I DID receive a refund. This is true and it was very easy, no hassles. I would buy again from this seller, as I do believe it was just a defective piece in the product, which does happen in business.
