This Mylanta product works well at dispersing painful gas, but I've also discovered that chewing two of these minty tablets will settle a sour stomach in minutes. I keep a supply on hand at all times, but particularly for travel, when unfamiliar food may trigger that sour heartburn that can last for hours. Family and friends in distress have also found instant relief from indigestion by chewing two of these tablets. Sadly, many drugstores have discontinued these tablets in favor of the Mylanta gel tabs, which I have never tried; I have no idea if the gel tabs also relieve indigestion. These mint tablets are more convenient than the gel tabs because you can chew them even if you don't have water handy. The only other product I've found that works as well against indigestion is digestive enzyme capsules.
