Okay, so this is a bit more expensive to buy than your regular stick deoderant, but I feel that it's worth it's weight in gold! It does take awhile for it to have the full effect. But, then it states that on the instructions. First you have to try to detox the pits by not wearing anything for several days. That alone is the hardest part. But, don't give up! I can go for 2 weeks without feeling that I need more! It goes on like a white paste, but has NEVER come off on my clothes, even right after putting it on. After I moved back to the desert, I noticed that my trusty stick deoderants would fail me after so long. I started doing research on deoderants, and found that this one is used by our soldiers in the middle east. Well, they have temps there similar to mine! I am so glad that I found this stuff! It doesn't take much. You just smear a small amount around, and go! You still sweat, but then...you need to sweat. Sooo, if you don't want to sweat, maybe you could just have your sweat glands removed...but then, would you overheat? Hmmmm. It's probably much cheaper, and less painful to just buy this stuff! I've been using this product for years, since a guy friend told me about how well it works for him. If it can work for a guy, it can definitely work for me, I thought! A little of this cream on the fingertip, rubbed well into the skin, keeps your underarms fresh.
Lavilin keeps your underarms deodorized for about 4 days. You don't have to use other deodorants, nor the Lavilin again, for 4 days or so. I read it works by killing the bacteria in the armpit area, and it keeps it from multiplying, thus eliminating odor. I've also used it when I wasn't able to shower and already started needing it, and it eliminated most of the scent that was there.
You can shower and soap over it - it doesn't come off. I put it on after my shower, and shower the next day, and the next, and the next. Usually by then I'm seeing that I need to reapply it.
Gals - don't use it right after shaving - I did that once and it clogged my pores (which were open from shaving) and I had red bumps on my underarm for a couple of days. Shaving the day before or after using Lavilin works well.

This is my favourite recent discovery! A friend recommended this product & I have been using it for about a year & a half now and I would hate to be without it.
I apply the cream under my arms every 6-9 days and the smell goes away! (I sometimes forget to re-apply periodically and I am reminded by a bad smell that is there even after bathing). I really appreciate that my body is allowed to eliminate toxins through sweat as nature intended but without the smell!
I find most traditional antiperspirants with aluminum derivatives in them make my fingers tingle after application (That can't be good for me).

I was introduced to this when it was sold in the black boxes. It now seems to require application more frequently than what I remember years ago. Formula change? Perhaps. Lavilin swears no, but no sense living in the past. The alcohol and harsh chemicals in other deodorants can irritate sensitive skin, but this product is tolerated in a lot of cases where other deodorants fail. If you have a history of skin irritation from deodorants, or have sensitive skin in general, give this a try. It's not a miracle cure, but if if you're looking for an alternative to harsh chemicals with effective results, this should be worth your time and effort.
Days between required application seems to vary based on my activity level and season. As few as 4 days in the summer, while 5 and even as long as 7 in the winter.

This is by far the best deoderant I've ever found. This is what the soldiers over in the Middle East use, and I live in Phoenix, AZ...where it's going to be 112* today - and it works for me! It takes awhile to get used to not having to put deoderant on every day. However, now I can go 7-10 days (sometimes longer) without having to apply any more. It doesn't make your clothes white, despite it being a white cream. (You smear it around, don't rub it in!) The potato starch helps it to stick, and it doesn't even look white on your armpits after 20+ minutes. If I could change the world one pit at a time with this stuff, I would! I highly recommend it! You can't find this at the grocery store, it's usually carried at the health food store.
