I had a flu, or at least flu like symptomps: cold, congestion, body aches, fatigue, and a fever. For two days I felt like I couldn't even sit upright and I had a 102F temperature. I didn't take any medication at all. I took multivitamins, megadose of vitamin C, zinc, and blackelderberry (a VERY powerful antioxidant).
Then I bought this Umcka cold remedy from Whole Foods, mixed it with hot water and drank it, and within two hours my temperature lowered and I felt much better and had more energy. I kept taking it for about two days, and the next day I was walking again and went back to work.
A coworker tried it for her husband and kids, and the husband said he immediately felt better too after taking it.
A fever is a sign that the immune system is working to fight viruses or anything that is invading the body. DO NOT use medication to lower a temperature because they you would be blocking the immune system from doing its work. Tylenol is especially bad because it lowers your glutathione level. Glutathione is your body's chief detoxifying mechanism, or in other words, the body's trash removal system. If glutathione level is low then your immune system is compromised because toxins are piled up without adequate detoxification to keep the system clean, and you have a sad story here.
In other words, the human body has an amazing ability to fight off diseases and infections. Be well informed and do not freak out when you have a fever. It's normal to have a fever up to 103 or 104. The key things are to maintain hydration; keep the person hydrated. Also make sure the person is still alert and responsive. A child may be cranky but should still be consolable. An epsom salth bath can also help to boost the immune system by aiding the transulphuration pathway that leads to the production of glutathione (2 cups of pure espsom salth and 1 cup of baking soda).
How do I know these things? I have a vaccine injured child who developed autism because his gut was injured and his immune system was compromised. I spent lots of money and time going to doctors who told me I should drug him and spend even more money on behavioral therapies. Instead, I looked and looked, and found out about biomedical interventions for autism ([...], [...]). I fixed his immune system and today he has recovered and no longer has autistic symptoms. He is a normal kid now. And no, doctors don't know about these things. Doctors learn from outdated medical textbooks that were printed twenty years ago. I learn from doctors, scientists and researchers who interact with children and parents (compare with the regular doctor who spends 10 mins with you and treat you as a textbook). These dedicated professionals do ongoing researches and studies and give us the latest and most up-to-date treatments. And as a parent, I keep myself well informed and educated so I know what is going on with my child's health. Autism has taught me not to take health for granted.
