I have taken this for about 3 months now for bi-polar and it has worked like a little miracle pill! I don't swing up and down with my moods any more, my uncontrollable anger, when manic, is completely gone, I can concentrate and understands concepts unbelievably better while taking this (I am currently attending college), I actually get tired on my own before taking sleeping pills (Ive always suffered from horrendous insomnia), I don't have anxiety attacks anymore as well as my general anxiety is now completely gone and most of my symptoms from obsessive compulsive disorder have disappeared.
I take 3 pills a day and have not noticed any negative side effects. I have been on numerous prescribed concoctions before with horrible results (including lithium carbonate). I would be given 5 pills to manage my mental illness and then 5 more on top of that to counter act side effects of the first five! It was unbelievable! I never felt cured or that they even managed my problems, rather they turned me into a zombie with worse anxiety than before! I went off everything and had been going without for 5 years but decided to try natural remedies just in case they would help. I am currently taking lithium orotate, omega 3, sunflower lecithin, st. johns wort and melatonin to sleep. All of these have had studies showing they help bi-polar. I know they have helped me tremendously.
I have read you can take up to eight pills a day but I would be hesitant because of the study showing your liver doesn't excrete this very well. I have my brother taking this for his bi-polar and ADD with wonderful results and my husband has just started taking it to help his anxiety. I feel that this is safe enough that it wouldn't hurt to take it for the benefits it has shown on the brain, let alone all the health problems it can help with.
I wouldn't suggest going off prescribed medications to try this without your doctors knowledge and consent but if you have never had good luck with any of that prescribed stuff you may want to give this a try, it could change your life.
