Customer Reviews of Neckpro Cervical Traction Device - Adjustable Door Bracket Model - Cervical TractionCustomer Review: Only one use and I like it. Summary: 5 Stars
Like a lot of you I've been a back pain sufferer for many years.
An accident when I was 10 years old has caused me over 20 years of pain.
I was in the Cub Scouts when I was little.
We went hiking and we were on a very narrow trail that was at the top of a very steep slope.
The trail gave way; I went down and landed on a very large rock on the middle of my back.
I learned some valuable lessons that day.
1....never go hiking on a narrow path above a steeply inclined hill that has just been rained on.
2....sometimes the adults in charge are a bunch of morons and should know better, but don't.
(groan).....20+ years later.......thousands upon thousands of dollars in medical bills.
Chiropractor bills.
Countless devices to help elongate and strengthen my spine and the surrounding muscles.
Traction is a must for me.
I've found other devices that I use daily.......The "Soloflex Vibration Platform" coupled with laying on a "Yoga Foam Roller" has worked miracles.
I also use the "Spineworx" device and the "Lynx Back Stretcher".
I was using an inversion table but I did not like the feeling of hanging upside down. It made me feel sick.
All of these provide adequate traction for middle and lower traction, but only so-so for upper back and neck.
Enter the NeckPro!!!
Finally, upper back and neck traction you can feel in an instant.
Easy to assemble.
Easy to use.
It's quick.
It's effective.
It only takes ten minutes a day.
The instructions say ten minutes a day, once in the A.M. and once in the P.M.
Considering I do five minutes on the "Spineworx", five minutes on the "Lynx", fifteen minutes doing three different stretching positions on the "platform with the roller" I really can't justify doing more than I already am.
On top of all this.......I give the most credit to my persistent weight training.
Nothing and I mean NOTHING will help your back, your muscles or your spine more than properly executed weight training.
When I was a teen, the doctors (naturally) told me not to weight train that it might make it worse.
Am I the only one who hates doctors?
They also told me a chiropractor wouldn't help either and more or less dismissed them as "witch doctors".
The only reason I am for the most part free of pain in this stage of my life is due to the weight training, the chiropractor and stretching.
What did the doctors do?
They handed me some pills.
LOL
The grand solution for everything that ails you. (rolling eyes)
Back pain sucks.
Fight it.
Upper, middle, and lower.
For upper and neck I give the NeckPro my highest recommendations, just don't over do it.
A little at a time but with persistence is much better than infrequent and too much traction.
Your goal should be to make yourself better, not worse.
Like I said, for the most part I am pain free at this point.
Am I at 100 %?
No.
I've had two different chiropractors' tell me that I never will be.
The damage should have been corrected as a child but wasn't.
They told me to be happy with what I have and be happy I have very little pain left.
I guess they're right, but who doesn't want to be at 100%?
Thanks for reading, hope I helped somebody out there that's in pain and feels alone.....you're not.
NeckPro?
Effective.
Sturdy.
Not too expensive.
Highly recommended.

Description of Neckpro Cervical Traction Device - Adjustable Door Bracket Model - Cervical TractionNeckpro Cervical Traction Device is a home cervical traction device. The Cervical Traction Device may be used for the relief of neck pain associated with cervical disc herniation, spondylosis, osteoarthritis, cervical radiculopathy, neck strain, pinched nerve in upper spine with associated pain radiating down upper extremities, tension and/or tightness (muscle spasm) in muscles of the upper back, shoulders and neck, fibromyalgia, whiplash, insomnia and tension headaches associated with tension in the aforementioned musculature. Conventional home overdoor neck traction systems utilize a bag of water and patient trial and error determining the appropriate amount of traction poundage. The Neckpro Cervical Traction Device eliminates this old process by coupling a computer designed precision-made compression spring with a unique ratcheting device that delivers a more precise amount of cervical traction tension. Each click of the ratchet audibly signals an increase in the tension being applied. This not only allows traction to be delivered in a progressive format similar to what they experience in a clinical setting, but the audible click allows the patient to monitor and keep track of the settings that provide a positive outcome. The specially designed head halter for the home traction device is easy to apply and comfortable even under high levels of cervical traction tension. The Neckpro Overdoor Cervical Traction Device includes Neckpro compression spring & racket assembly, head halter and Adjustable Overdoor bracket Fits doors up to 1 1/2" to 1.75" in thickness.
