Customer Reviews of NeilMed's Sinus Rinse Regular Bottle KitCustomer Review: Magic Summary: 4 Stars
I firmly believe that those who have discovered nose irrigation are living more enjoyable lives. I've had sinus and respiratory problems my whole life. It wasn't until I started irrigating twice a day that I really had some relief. The NeilMed product is great, easy to travel with, and well worth the fair price.
I typically use it in the morning and before I got to bed, and for doing that I have a clean and clear nose, don't have to take allergy medications (which I had been taking for years), and rarely have to blow my nose. It's like a miracle cure. Seriously.
I strongly recommend you give it a shot. Seriously.
Customer Review: Convenient sinus rinse Summary: 4 Stars
I have used a traditional ceramic neti pot for years in order to perform sinus rinses. I was given a NeilMed bottle (by a satisfied new user)and have been quite pleased with it. Its advantage over the neti is that it is lightweight & nonbreakable (packs easily for travel) and, I feel, more easy to clean. I prefer the NeilMed pre-measured buffered solution powder to the traditional neti DIY sea salt, but either solution can be used in either system. The neti pot seems to get somewhat more into "deeper" sinuses, but it is best used in one's own home. Actually, I now use both systems. But more often, I grab the NeilMed bottle.
Customer Review: Nasty to think about, but it works Summary: 4 Stars
This treatment was a requirement after some sinus surgery, but I have found it also has had a positive impact on my alergies and reduced the number of colds that I suffer.
For those not wanting to buy additional NeilMed pouches of salt, you can get pickling salt from your grocery store and add 1/4 teaspoon to the 8 oz bottle.
Customer Review: Easy to use but beware of ear problems Summary: 3 Stars
I have extremely blocked passages; after using this product my nose felt better but one of my ears began to ache and continued to do so for a few days. Possible ear infection? The pressure of the bottle must have forced some bacteria from my sinuses into my ear canal. So I would proceed with caution.
