I started taking D-ribose because I had tried (what seems like) everything else to combat systemic pain; I had a foot injury that wouldn't heal and somehow angered my entire body. I had swollen joints,tendons and tight muscles combined with overall exhaustion (not to mention I was pretty cranky). By a fluke, I read that D-ribose might help.
Within a week, the muscle cramping was gone, the swelling diminished, but most importantly, my energy level went up. Now, three weeks later, I feel almost completely back to full energy with very little pain.
For me, after fighting with pain for 8 months and dragging my sorry self through each day, this is pretty miraculous. I am very grateful.
I split each pill in half and take a half morning and night. The taste is fine and reminds me of chewable vitamin C.
