Check out GNC's Prenatal, it is really close in vitamin amounts, and is cheaper, and available at your local stores. It is also labeled with allergy information for those with food allergies/intolerances. I prefer that one.Customer Review: Made matters worse for me

I started taking Optivite as soon as it arrived. Since then I have been having my period every 2 weeks. At first I did not even think it could be the vitamin causing this, but after some research I found that the doses of vitamin C in the vitamin combined with the mini pill I am taking (Camila) is what is causing the problem. I am estrogen dominant and the large doese of vitamin c in the pill cause your progesterone levels to drop. Thus in my case causing my period to start. Before taking this on a whim as I did, be sure to see a doctor. While this vitamin may work for some women, it may not work for all. Everyone's body is different. The only way to find out what is right for you would be to consult with an OBGYN and have the proper blood work done.
