I live in TX, and we have a lot of mosquitos here. Unfortunately, I have always been a mosquito magnet - I walk out the door, and the mosquitos swarm around me. I like spending time outdoors, but I hate having to use the smelly, sticky sprays to repel the mosquitos. When this OFF Clip On product came out, I was excited but skeptical, as most non-spray mosquito repellents just don't work. THIS REALLY WORKS! I am amazed, and thrilled, at how well this keeps the mosquitos OFF of me (pun intended). I use mine every time I go outside to tend to the garden and water the plants, so it's used a lot - I've been through 2 refills over a 3 month period. Not too bad. I think it's well worth the price for the effectiveness and the convenience. (The price from the Amazon vendor is too high ($12.99) as it retails for $8.99.) but you can get these at any grocery or Target/Walmart.) I highly recommend it!
Update: I used this for several months, and for some reason, it stopped being effective. The mosquitos started biting, and were not deterred by the Clip-On. I changed the batteries and the refill in the unit, so I know it was at full strength, but the mosquitos kept biting me. Definitely strange, and disappointing, because I thought I'd finally found the answer to controlling mosquitos.

Wow, I really can't believe the two previous reviews. I have to wonder if they even used the same product. The thing is absolutely AMAZING!!! I am mosquito candy. If I'm outside for just a few minutes, I'll get tons of mosquito bites. I don't know what it is but mosquitoes LOVE me. And I'm a smoker so I'm outside a lot. I tried the OFF clip on and just sit it on the stair right next to me when I smoke and never got bit once while I used it. I used it for about a month straight when my husband used it while working in the garage leaving it on for four hours straight and it all ran out. Now I constantly get bit. Just now I was outside smoking and got four mosquito bites! In about 5 minutes time. So I know it really works.
Used it, absolutely no mosquito bites, not even one. Been out for about a week and have gotten at least 15 mosquito bites just in this time period. This is absolutely the BEST mosquito repellent that I have ever tried. I have never found anything that really worked and I've tried the usual sprays, citronella candles, and skin so soft. OFF has earned a completely loyal customer in me from this little clip on! I'm definitely picking up some more refills tomorrow!

I purchased this recently after a friend in my Book Club recommended them to us. We live in Michigan and have many mosquitoes and deer flies that give the nastiest bites before you even know you have one on you. Well, this Clip On works, not only for me but for my dogs. We go to a fenced dog park area in the woods during the day and at dusk and so far no bites, the mosquitoes come toward us and the deer flies come in for an attack quickly to fly off and away from the area we are in.
I have over the years bought all sorts of sprays, a wrist band that emitted sounds of the dragon fly, a natural predator to the mosquito, and even a jacket in Buzz-Off, a fabric that had a natural repellent immersed in the fibers so I wouldn't have to spray every time I went out. So far so good for all of us! I have also noticed the longer I am in an area wearing this the fewer and fewer bugs are around.
I have black coated dogs so when I see a bug around them I just remove my Clip On and move it through the air around them and again the bugs vanish.

I usually don't believe TV commercials that say the product is better than sliced bread or will solve world hunger, but I have to admit that the Off clip-on mosquito repellent performed better than I would ever have believed. Our back yard has gnats and mosquitos that will eat you alive if you just walk through the area with the ground cover and flower beds. I used to have to keep battling them when I did the weeding and mulching, but I took a chance on this Off clip-on device and am now completely sold on it. For the past three weekends, I've been working for hours in the garden and I haven't been bothered at all, not even once. I can see the clouds of gnats as I approach, and I expected them to be attacking my eyes as usual, but it never happened. The bugs just avoid me wherever I go. It is absolutely amazing. Even 98% deet paired with 2 citronella candles were not able to keep the mosquitoes away in my yard. We couldn't enjoy our yard at all because within 30 seconds of walking outside you were acting as a buffet table. I got this thinking "it's less than $10 and if it works I might can see my yard some this summer" Well I took it home, took it out of the pack and went out to the patio furniture. I saw 1-2 mosquitoes at first and then nothing. Not only did I see NO mosquitoes, the pad that was supposed to last 12 hours lasted more like 20 hours before the mosquitoes would get close enough to spot. I am very pleased and will continue to use this for the rest of the summer and hopefully in years to come. I love the idea of never having to wear that horrible deet stuff again!
