I was so excited to buy this after my sister told me about it. I love gardening in my backyard but the mosquitoes make it miserable outside, at almost all times of the day if you're in the shade. I thought this would be my answer to the problem but it has absolutely no effect! Clipped it onto my shorts only to look down a few minutes later and see about 7 mosquitoes biting my legs all at once! I even, like many other have said, took the clip off and aimed it at the little blood suckers and they couldn't care less. This thing is useless and I again had to resort to spraying myself down with sticky, smelly bug spray :( So disappointed!Customer Review: Not for moving around

I live in a highly saturated mosquito area near the beach in South Florida. I bought this clip on with the purpose of repeling mosquitos when I walk my dog. First, the clip isn't designed for holding onto clothing unless you are stationary. Secondly, the idea of this contraption is that it is supposed to build up a barrier of scent around you, however if you are moving, you have now moved away from the built up barrier. This isn't an ideal product unless you plan to place it on a table or sit in one place. Even then the air has to be very still for this to be effective. A waste of money altogether. I decided to try this product out because mosquitoes always swarm me when I'm out in the yard.
I must have been outside for less than five minutes with the Off Clip-On running and filled with a brand new cartridge before I was bitten several times by mosquitoes. I was just standing in place watering the garden, and it was not breezy out.
I was looking for a good alternative to the Off mosquito repellant spray, but the Off Clip-On was just a huge disappointment.
Do not bother with this product because it will not protect you from getting bitten by mosquitoes.

I only wish I could have selected ZERO stars!!Hopefully you are reading this review before you waste your money!! We purchased two of these plus refills after reading some outstanding reviews!!! Oh my goodness. This is one of the worst products OFF offers. We live in Montana and went out for a 4 day camping/hiking weekend and due to recent weather conditions, the mosquitos were everywhere...(including actually landing on my clip on OFF product)!!!! A friend bought me one of these as she was aware that mosquitoes not only love me but that I am allergic to their bites.
I used it last Tuesday evening for about three hours at a friend's camp. It did not work at all, although I sat, supposedly, within its protective area for the whole time. I was bitten at least twenty times and spent two days and nights in absolute agony from the bites with no relief, as I also have a bad reaction to anti histamines.
Those TV adverts are a total lie, as far as I'm concerned, and this product is a complete waste of money.
