Let me just say that I purchased this little brush about 3 weeks ago and I really love it. Previously I had owned the Tweezerman pure badger brush which a) shed hair during almost every use and b) eventually the brush became permanently detached from the handle, all in about 9 months time. Note that this was under normal to light usage - I shave about 3x a week on a good week. So, I can already tell this Omega brush is well made because it has only shed 1 hair so far, and it was during the very first use - not bad! Also, it just has a better feel in your hand, and comes with a convenient little stand for storage and drying. This brush seems to be darker in color than my previous brush (lots of black hairs) but I honestly can't tell you how (or if) color relates to hair quality, as my knowledge of the badger brushes is still somewhat limited. This brush is a little more stiff than I was expecting, but it may get broken in after more uses. Also, it takes a decent amount of water to generate a nice lather I've noticed, more so than my old brush. But this would be dependent on the ratio of cream used, so it may vary from person to person.
All in all this is a great brush for wet shavers on a budget - for the price I think it will be hard to beat this guy. Paired with a good shave cream (Taylor of Old Bond St. Avacado is my favorite), this brush really does help to make shaving more effective and enjoyable.
