I'd wanted to try out an SAD light like this for a while now, but most of the products I saw where in the ballpark of $90-100 and up, and that was too much for me to want to pay for a product I wasn't even sure was going to work. This was definitely the value I was looking for for my first SAD light, and I'm happy with my purchase. It's very bright (up to 10,000 lux of blue light), has adjustable intensities, and is programmable to automatically turn off after a certain amount of time (in intervals of 15 minutes; and do note that this light does NOT automatically turn ON, only off).
There are some reviews in here that complain about the size and weight of this light... it's not the vendor's fault they didn't read the product description. I'm here to help you not be one of those people. Are you on the product page? Good. Scroll to where it says Product Details, and then Product Dimensions, and make a note of it. Yes, this light is small, and it is light. It measures 7.5 x 6 x 1.5 inches; the area of the blue lights are about 2 x 2.5 inches. And it weighs 9 oz (or 0.5 lbs), which is less than a 12 oz bag of coffee: Eight O'Clock Coffee, Original Ground, 12-Ounce Bag (Pack of 4) . Now get out your ruler and bag of coffee. If that's too small or light for you, I would advise not buying this light. Otherwise, it's a great deal.
