I bought this because, although I have a perfectly good manual version Omron, I liked the convenience, and, according to Consumer Reports, better accuracy of an autoinflatable version. It works well. The only thing to know is that if you turn it on, then turn it off before setting the date and time, you've missed the one and only opportunity you have to do that. We had an older Omron Blood Pressure model for years, so we knew of "Omron" quality. I decided to update to the auto-inflate model which is more convenient as well as more accurate. My husband has high blood pressure which is under control with medication, but still he does a monthly check to make sure his pressure is okay. One morning at the breakfast table he said that he felt weak and had a fainting spell during the night. I immediately took his blood pressure using our new Omron monitor which showed a normal reading for his blood pressure, but his pulse reading was extremely high. His doctor, when I called, ordered us to go to the Hospital emergency room immediately where it was discovered that he had a bleeding ulcer and ordered surgery immediately as well as a blood transfusion. Had we not had our Omron, I hate to imagine what might had happened. Omron is a great product, and we'll always have one! Customer Review: So I guess in future...

I bought one on december, 2005. Then I send it to my uncle, who is actually the user. My uncle told me it works well and satisfiyed what he wanted.
I also want to buy for my family, however, I lived in China and I think the adaptor doesn't fit it well. So I guess in future, I would prefer to buy a Blood Pressure Monitor which could fit like 220V. Thanks

The blood pressure monitor seems to work very smoothly (not being a doctor, I can't tell if it's accurate).
My only complaint is that it only has three buttons and no onscreen menu -- which makes setting it up and viewing all the information it stores a bit of a chore. I find myself constantly going back to the instructions to figure out how to make this work and what various display items mean.
