This monitor works simply, and the results seem to be accurate. My mother uses it, and we took it to her doctor's office to check its accuracy. The doctor thought that the Omron's readings were consistent with the blood pressure levels he was recording in the office. He used the Omron right after testing my mother with his own monitor.
I was pleased that the number 1 recommended monitor in Consumer Reports passed the doctor test too.

I bought the "Intellisence" Blood Pressure Monitor because it was the most highly rated in a Consumer Reports review of a couple of years ago. So far, it has performed very well, though I have not had the opportunity to check its accuracy against the more sophisticated devices at a doctor's office.
The combination heart rate (pulse) monitor and memory feature are nice extras. In summary, I am very pleased with the product.

Nothing fancy here, just good functionality. The memory and average functions are useful for reviewing BP trends. The best thing about this monitor is its simplicity: just stick your arm in the cuff and switch it on--in a few seconds your BP is displayed. Note: If the circumfrence of your upper arm is more than 13 inches you will need the larger arm cuff. I have only had the machine for about a month so I can't speak to its durability.Customer Review: happy with this product

Omron HEM-711AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with IntelliSense I received this monitor quite timely and actually haven't used it yet but plan on it soon. It was packed very carefully to avoid dammage and came in perfect condition. I am very pleased with the Omron HEM-711AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with IntelliSense. I recommend it highly. It's easy to use, easy to read, seems accurate. I like the two warning indicators -- irregular heartbeat and high reading. I also like that it can also use the provided AC adapter. This model has a memory but I don't believe it can be split across 2 people -- i believe there are more expensive models that can be.
