This unit replaces a previously model from the early 90's, which finally quit working. It is more compact and has the AC option, which I like. Measurements appear to be accurate, as they come very close to those taken at the MD's office. The cuff on this model fits more comfortably than on the older model. This unit also takes faster measurements than the older unit. As usual, the price here at Amazon is on target, and the delivery time is about a week.Customer Review: easy to use and acurate

I bought this thing for my parents. I was looking something very easy to use, with a big screen, and numbers and accurate results, I got it!!!
I think this is a good option, just press a bottom and it works!
The measurement seems very accurate, we have compared them with those taken in the doctor's office and the difference is very small.
It has a nice bag and an AC power if you are run out of battery. My parents like it a lot!

The monitor comes in a zipper case. The instrument is automatic with either 115v adapter or 4 AA battery power. I would prefer a 9 volt battery (like a smoke detector battery) which my previous Walgreen unit had. The memory and display are very convenient. There is a time and date clock included in the unit. It seems to work well and shows good repeatability. It is appreciably better than the previous unit I had and cost almost the same dollars.Customer Review: Great for My 91 Year Old Dad!

My dad's Cardiologist suggested that I get my dad a smaller blood pressure monitor "cuff" to more accurately measure my dad's pressure. The monitor he already had did not accommodate a smaller cuff. After some research, the Omron HEM-711AC Monitor seemed perfect for my dad's needs. Not only would it take a smaller cuff, the large read out helped my dad read his pressure and pulse more easily and accurately. I would highly recommend this monitor.Customer Review: Satisfied

I found this BP monitor well constructed and much more accurate than the wrist model I purchased about a year ago. For men or larger arms/ people I would not reccomend the wrist models at all.For anyone with significantly larger arms than "average man" size(for which this one is ok), get the larger size cuff which is available for best accuracy. On this model,previous readings easily seen.Carrying case conveniet for storage and travel. good product!
