We purchased the Omron at the specific recommendation of my husband's cardiologist. I did my research on the Omron website, choosing the HEM712 for its features, and the large cuff out of necessity. Before I purchased, I checked Amazon and saved over $40! The Omron was very easy to set up and is easy to use. The small size and low profile make it easy to store.
To check accuracy, my husband took his BP with the Omron before, and then after, going to the doctor's. The Omron matched within two points!
The Omron is easy to use, accurate and affordable. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I had to old original OMRON 712 and was shocked that they still had the same stock number. I thought the other one was easy to use and when the cuff finally failed, I tried to buy a new cuff, only to find that the entire machine was cheaper than a cuff. But the new meter is even easier to use and keeps the recent BP checks in memory so you can compare your last several. The cuff is much better than the old one but then, the old one was probably ten years old or more..... If you are looking for a home high blood pressure monitoring system that does what it says it will do, then this product is ideal for you. There is really nothing you have to know about taking an accurate blood pressure reading. Just follow the easy illustrations and wrap the cuff around the upper area of your arm, push the button and all the work is done for you. The readings are big, easy to read, and easy to understand. Be aware that this unit works best when used with the included power cord. Also, be aware, you should have the right cuff size to fit around your arm.Customer Review: Ease of Use!

The OMRON HEM 712CLC is easy to use, easy to understand and budget friendly. I needed an instrument that I could utilize and when necessary carry with me to monitor my BP and heart rate. This particular model is the exact same one that our medical office on the job uses so I had no problem getting it together. Now I can know when my BP rises or falls. It also monitors my heart rate and even gives out the averages over a period of time to let me know when I am hitting a trouble zone or everything is OK. And it runs on batteries and current. I appreciate the unit having a large cuff. . almost too large for me, but more accurate than a small cuff would be. The unit is easy to use (good directions in the manual) as you put on the cuff and press start. It's not like the doctor's office where they pump up way too high (makes you feel like they're cutting off your arm)- only enough pressure to do the job. There are easy to read numbers as they are large enough for me to read without having to find my glasses.
Overall: great product.
