this is the best blood pressure monitor out there. period. i'm in the medical field and the only trusted monitors in the hospital are made by omron. in fact, a physician i work with will only recommend these omron monitors to her patients. no other brand comes close. i bought one for myself and as soon as you use it, you realize why you made the right decision to purchase it. the construction is solid, the monitor does not over-pump and crush your arm, it knows when to stop and gives you a quick, accurate reading. everyone who has tried it at my apartment was extremely impressed and looked to purchase one themselves. i was so happy with mine that i bought the exact same model for my father who has hypertension. buy this monitor.Customer Review: Great machine to capture & remember your BP

I bought this blood pressure machine for myself. I like the machine as it retains in memory every BP reading for one or two people. I am the only one who uses this machine so person A is my morning reading and person B is my PM reading.
It's easy to use after glancing over the basic directions. My only problem was mastering the cuff around my arm correctly without getting an "E" for error. Once I resolved that, everything worked perfectly. I am very satisfied with this machine & the readings are accurate. [I took my BP before seeing my dental hygienist who also took my BP and the readings were within 3 points of each other]
Even though there are batteries, i recommend using the power cord.

THIS IS THE LATEST MODEL, SIGNIFIED BY THE N3 IN THE MODEL ID. IT HAS A NEW FEATURE THAT OMRON CALLS THE "TRUE READ" MODE. IT CAN AUTOMATICALLY TAKE 3 CONSECUTIVE READINGS, ONE EVERY 15, 30, 60 OR 120 SECONDS, AS SET THE THE USER, AND THEN GIVES THE AVERAGE OF THE 3 READINGS. MY DOCTOR AGREED THIS IS A MORE ACCURATE WAY TO DETERMINE BLOOD PRESSURE.
I HAVE IT SET ON 60 SECONDS SO IN APPROX 3 MINUTES I HAVE MY BLOOD PRESSURE, AND PULSE RATE, BASED ON THE AVERAGE OF 3 SEPARATE READINGS.
WHEN I PURCHASED IT ON AMAZON, THERE WAS A $[...] DISCOUNT CODE FROM OMRON, SO I PAID JUST $[...] WITH FREE SHIPPING. I'VE SEEN IT IN CHAIN DRUG STORES LIKE DUANE READE AND WALGREENS FOR ABOUT [...] BUCKS SO IT'S STILL A GOOD DEAL.

I purchased this as a replacement for a Walgreens unit which had served me well, but reached the end of its useful life. I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Ease of use is one of the functions that encourages me to keep track of my blood pressure on a regular basis, and this unit is very easy to use. One of the features I like most is the "intellisense" that determines how much inflation is needed to read the pressure - rather than picking a predetermined pressure and squeezing your arm tightly it only goes as far as it needs to.
It also has "A" and "B" readings so two people in the household can keep separate track of their pressures, and a "guest" feature as well. I'd highly recommend it.

This is a fine product. The semi-rigid cuff is easy to use and the liquid crystal display is quite large and informative. Rather than getting a false reading, an error message informs the user if anything about the cuff or hose is improper. Displaying pulse rate and monitoring for irradic heartbeat are important added features . Although the nylon zippered case is a bit flimsy, the size and design adequately keeps the entire device and contents together. I bought this model after extensive Internet research and a telephone call to the Omron corporate office. My purchase was through Amazon.com and qualified for free shipping. The cost was far less than the selling price at my local RiteAid.
