My dad's cardiologist recommended getting a blood pressure monitor for the house to check his pressure regularly. He suggested the arm-cuff type was better (lower variance in the readings) than the wrist-cuff version. So, we got the Omron HEM-780. It's a little marvel: It's very easy to use, it's fast, and it's so compact that it fits in the medicine cabinet. At least a couple of times my dad's blood pressure hiked up unexpectedly and this little monitor took the guesswork out of both occasions -- he adjusted his meds as per his doctor's instructions -- without need for emergency care. I would very highly recommend it.Customer Review: Something that could save your life!

A great product to have in the home for daily use. After being diagnosed with higher than normal blood pressure (which was brought down to acceptable levels by a little more exercise) I bought an earlier model and monitored my BP and pulse on a daily basis. By doing this I caught a heart problem that suddenly developed over the Christmas period that resulted in a high pulse rate and low BP. There were really no noticeable indications of the condition apart from what was indicated by the monitor, but if left untreated could have resulted in serious heart damage. I bought a second one to use when I'm traveling. I'm a believer.Customer Review: Love it

It's made routine BP checks eeeeeasy... so now I actually *do* check my BP instead of just intending to check. The display is big enough to read easily, even if I've forgotten my reading glasses (again). I've used the memory (last 90 results) to show a month-long trend to the doctor while in the process of changing BP meds. Some have found the "ComFit Cuff" too tight, but it fits my arm nicely (I'm 205 lb, 6'1"). The only thing I'd change is to have the built-in "average" function do an average over the last 20 measurements instead of the last 3 -- but that's probably just a personal preference.

During a visit to my doctor, it was discovered that my blood pressure was very high. I had never ever had any major blood pressure problems, so naturally I was very alarmed. My doctor informed me that I will have to go on medication if it does not improve. I started looking for a blood pressure monitor, and based on the positive reviews of others who had purchased this item, I decided to try the Omron HEM-780. I love the features and I am very pleased. Since purchasing this product I have lost some weight, changed my eating habits, and I am very happy to see that my pressure is a lot lower. This is a great product.Customer Review: Excellent product

Excellent in every way. Doc was about to put me on BP reducing med, but I talked him into getting a month of baseline readings before I filled the prescription. Good thing as it turned out that not only was my BP normal and required no intervention, but his wall unit in his office was giving out false high readings! Not only did it save me from a possible disaster, others may have been rescued as well. And of course I saved $$$$ by not having to fill the prescription(it was expensive at $60 per month!) Incidentally, it is the best price on the 'net, too! Thank you for excellent service and an excellent product!
