Customer Review: SAVED MY LIFE
Summary: 5 Stars

Timeline:
Between Thanksgiving & Christmas I learned I had a slight blood pressure problem. I bought this while shopping for family Christmas gifts from Amazon. I wasn't going to buy one with Wal-Mart having a free cuff in Rx area........ but I ordered it anyway. perhaps so I would have something under the tree to open for myself.......2nd weekend of June 2010 I had a restless night, tossing & turning, unable to relax. The next day I called work saying I was unable to come in. I was thinking I could rest in am & maybe work on a project in pm ... Lunch came & went, I was still feeling poorly... I thought just for grins I'll put on the cuff & ck........numbers did not even look right at all. I thought just my luck that the day I don't feel well I need to put new battery's in BP machine. I called for my wife & ask her to ck her pressure & her numbers were fine....Then I deducted I did NOT need battery's & that something was wrong. Went to the DR's office & they took me to a hospital in an ambulance ,,,3 days in Hospital with lots of tests, minor heart attack. Back at work now 100 percent released. Bottom line - buy yourself a BP monitor. I'm sure glad I did... current age 55 was 54 when I bought it.

Customer Review: Omron HEM-780N2 Product Review
Summary: 5 Stars

This product rates a full five stars. It is exactly as sdvertised and is a breeze to use. The Comfit Cuff makes the procedure effortless and provides for very repeatable measurements each time.

The unit records the most recent 90 measurements and averages the last 3 which is very useful for accurate trend monitoring.

The unit is virtually foolproof with mostly one button operation, and if there is a problem with a test the unit tells you what it is (via simple code on the large display) so you can make an adjustment and immediately retest.

When I got the unit I took it on my next Doctor appt to compare it with his. (My Doctor used the Omron that has a printer and a standard cuff) We did a side by side test and even my Dr. was impressed with the accuracy. He stated that he had been using the Omron w/ printer in his practice since it first became available with no problems whatsoever, and was impressed with the apparent improvements in my unit.

The Omron HEM-780 is a first rate product all the way around. I highly recomment it to anyone in need of a professional grade blood pressure monitor at a very reasonable price.

Customer Review: Terrific!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Omron-HEM-780 will give you a very accurate picture of the performance of your heart- your blood pressure and any heart irregularities you may have such as an erratic heartbeat will be displayed. The unit is programmable on a day to day basis and the memory stores some 86 measurements. If your pressure is too high to be acceptable, the display will tell you. In fact, the unit practically gets up and sings the Hallelujah Chorus when your pressure's just fine.If more than one person in your family uses the machine, a guest input is allowed- you just have to remember if you are "A" or "B".

The automatic "blow up" of the cuff is comfortable and quick and sure beats squeezing that little bulb. In fact I find taking my pressure quite enjoyable, but then I haven't any heart problems. However, even though a display of an erratic heartbeat or high pressure might be unnerving, it's vital to know so that you can go quickly to your doctor. The machine could be the writing on the wall...

The price is incredibly reasonable.I can't think of one negative thing to say about the Omron-HEM-780. Five stars, hands down!

Customer Review: Wonderful BP cuff
Summary: 5 Stars

We had an old BP cuff that had been passed down to us after my father-in-law died. It was old and stinky and hard to use but we rarely felt the need to use it. However, when I went through a prolonged illness and needed to take several medications, my BP became erratic and I wanted to accurately track it daily. This cuff is wonderful -- easy to use, accurate (I checked it against two different types of BP cuffs at our health club), and was reasonably priced. I was surprised by the size of the monitor -- it is huge -- about 4-3/4"wide x 6" long x 3" deep at its deepest part. The big display makes it very easy to read. Half of the cuff is pre-formed with something hard and flexible and curved so it fits easily around your arm. This is our third Omron product (my husband and I each have an Omron pedometer -- both still working perfectly after several years) and we love the quality and ease of use of their products. By the way, once I went off medication, my BP completely returned to normal so I no longer use this cuff for that reason, but still like to use it to monitor my BP as I excercise daily. Great cuff!

Customer Review: What a difference a good design makes
Summary: 5 Stars

It is amazing what a little difference in the design of the Comfit cuff makes, I tried 2 other BP monitor and has always struggle with putting on the cuff with one hand. You can never get the correct tightness or line up the alignment marks to get the correct reading without fussing around a few times. With this pre-formed cuff, it is a cinch.

Also, the cuff is fairly stiff. I can use it to push my clothing up the last inch to get it to the right position. With a standard cuff, you need one hand to hold the sleeve up as high as possbile on your arm so it is not trapped under the cuff, one hand to hold the cuff in the right position and one more to close the velco. Needless to say, this is hard when you only have one hand to do all three at the same time.

The BP reading also seems more accurate. I get the same reading that I get in the doctor's office. Tried it on 2 other persons and they think it is correct as well. The other units I tried (including another Omron manual inflate) seems to get a lower reading for me who has a higher BP and higher reading for others with lower BP.
