I recently purchased four Omron HJ-112 Premiuim Pedometers. They are great! I initially purchased two of these pedometers first - one for my girlfriend and one for my son. After seeing how well they worked, I decided to buy two more - one for me and one for my brother. We wear them all the time and check to see who walked the most each day. These pedometers have made us aware of how little we actually walked in a day, and now we all try to get in those extra steps so we can have the most steps at the end of the day. These little gadgets have been an incentive to walk more and improve our overall health with the goal of trying to reach 10,000 steps a day. We have not had any problems with any of the four pedometers. Thank you for the great product. I would recommend this specific model of pedometer to anyone interested in trying one out.

In the interest of good health, (10,000 steps a day), and a healthy dose of curiosity about how many steps I am currently walking daily, I researched different types of pedometers. Those I had tried in the past from the drug store and a then a sporting goods store "kept resetting themselves", no doubt some movement of mine or brush by something; but,this rendered them useless. I ordered the Omron. The supplier must be close, as it was here in less than 24 hours. Better yet, it works well, has not reset itself once or lost my daily count, and has a safety strap and clasp to assure that you don't lose it if it comes detached with a bump. My only reservation is that it does not count the myriad single steps you take, like in the kitchen, but only begins counting after 4 seconds of walking. For all the information received and stored, its cost was reasonable.

These are the best Pedometers in the world!! Also, the shipping and service from this provider was awesome. I have bought these pedometers for many years. The great features that I truly love are as follows: At midnight, this pedometer sets back to "0"; it keeps a record of your steps for 7 days; it separately records aerobic steps, as well as time spent in aerobic mode; (and keeps a record for 7 days); it tallies daily calories burned as well as miles traveled. It is not sensitive (you cannot just hold the pedometer in your hand and shake it to tally steps) - you can carry it in your pocket and it will count steps. One important thing to remember though - if you place it on your waist you need to also connect the enclosed "Lanyard", to ensure it doesn't fall off and get lost. All in all, I love this pedometer - because it's the BEST PEDOMETER IN THE WORLD!!!Customer Review: Awesome pedo

This is an awesome pedometer. It is accurate, easy to use, resets itself to zero at midnight and most importantly, placement is NOT limited to your waist. Because it doesn't use the more common pendulum type movement, this reads or senses movement in a variety of positions. It will accurately read steps when placed on your ankle, in your pocket, purse, briefcase etc. My old pedometer "thought" the bumps on the road when driving my car were steps, this doesn't "think" that. It also calculates calories burned and aerobic steps. I guess that's the equivalent of "running" steps on other pedometers. I does give me a break down of how many steps I've taken and ran throughout the day. Oh, it is also extremely silent. There is absolutely no clicking sound as with other pendulum type pedos. This pedometer is fantastic, After having such bad luck with previous pedometers--one broke when I dropped it, another was just impossible to figure out settings--I decided to give the Omron a try based on another amazon review.
Am I glad I did. First, the pedometer has a separate latch in addition to a belt hook, so today, when the belt hook detached from my jeans, the latch attached to my pocket caught it and it didn't hit the floor. Second, the set-up is so simple, even I could do it!!! Third, it gives you both total steps and aerobic steps, so you don't have to keep substracting your workout walk from your daily total. And fourth, you can stick it in your pocket if you want to and it actually works!!! No more trying to make sure that it is positioned directly above your knee.
The price is right and this is a wonderful product.
