I bought my Optisight magnifying visor about 4 years ago from a woodcarving shop and paid two dollars more! I paint and carve wood. Today I'm buying one as a birthday present for my grown daughter who strings beads and works with polymer clay.
When I first bought my Optisight visor I thought it looked cheap and just might be one of those things you regret buying. Boy, was I wrong to doubt the usefulness of this clever little visor! I use it several times a week and often keep it on for three to four hours. It is surprisingly comfortable to wear and, other then a few paint smears, it is still in mint condition.
One big advantage this visor has over other magnifiers is that you can swing the lens frame up over your forehead when you need to quickly go back to normal vision. Sometimes I sit in a chair and carve or sew while watching TV and I've learned that I can just look up over the magnifying lens and see the TV just fine!
