I'm a chocolate lover and this chocolate has a pretty good flavor, smooth. It is a mild chocolate flavor and the casein is slightly granular however, it becomes less noticeable if you let the shake sit for several minutes after it's made. I use non-fat milk and add a tablespoon of grape seed oil. This way you get healthy fat in your diet (no cholesterol) and it makes it taste even better. In addition, the fat lowers the glycemic index so you get sustained energy. You can add oatmeal but the shake is pretty thick with just the casein. I only bought this because it was cheaper at the time, but after going through two 5lb tubs I definitely support this product. It does as described. The only suggestion I have is not to mix this with warm or hot water, that makes it taste horrid. Slightly cold water works best, it seems to get a weird clumpy texture if you use icy water.Customer Review: no quality control

The casein does the job, plain and simple. Just like normal micellar casein, it does have more of a bland taste and is thicker in texture. If you're wanting a better-tasting casein, pay the extra dollars to get the regular 100% gold standard casein, NOT the cheaper, natural stuff. I mix mine with a half scoop of good-tasting whey to help take it down.Customer Review: Tastes bad

I am using it for appetite control. It works pretty good for that. I sweeten it with Stevia and try to slam it down immediately, before it has time to thicken. Gold Standard Natural Whey is way better.
