When I started getting whey protein, it was a bit of a revelation. It's a cheap & easy protein source that tastes decent, and one that I would recommend to anybody, whether or not they lift weights.
I'm not quite as sold on casein. It's made to quality, I have no complaints in that regards. But casein protein is inherently kind of strange-tasting, additionally it's difficult to mix out the lumps, and it has a sort of gritty texture. It's kind of like taking medicine. OK I'm a tough guy and if this was the only way to get casein, taste wouldn't really be an issue. However it's just as easy, and about the same price, to get casein from cottage cheese, Greek Yoghurt, or a glass of milk. Additionally, considering casein is normally consumed before going to bed, it's not convenient to have something mixed in with a big glass of water or milk.
I got the raspberry flavor, as I prefer fruit-flavored whey proteins, and raspberries are so delicious! It's not gross, but it's a subtle flavor that doesn't quite work with casein. I'll try vanilla if I get the product again. Actually, the flavor does mix pretty well with my Greek Yoghurt.

This is the first Casein I have used (Chocolate Supreme). The ON Whey tastes great, but this ON Casein, no so much. I can gag it down, but it is a lot thicker.
Seems to mix well and it tastes OK, I just don't like the "body" of the drink. I am going to try adding more skim milk or even mixing it with water to see if that helps.

The consistency and taste of this, when used with skim milk, is thick and with a slight chalky taste. However, with that being said, I have nothing to compare this to except with whey. This brand is the first brand I tried with casein protein and I have only ordered it twice. I mainly use whey for most of my protein drinks.Customer Review: CONTAINS SUCRALOSE

Amazon should really list the ingredients list for products like this. This product contains 10% of your daily sodium intake in the form of unnecessary added salt, artificial flavors, and also contains sucralose (Splenda). Why any "health" company thinks these are good things to be consuming is beyond me. Stick with the natural version if you must - which still has the salt issue.
