Customer Review: Perhaps the Best Non-Battery Toothbrush on the Market

I have used an Oral B toothbrush for the past 20-plus years and will continue to do so. I have resisted the idea of buying a mechanical (battery-powered) toothbrush because I see no practical reason to do so - my Oral B toothbrush is inexpensive, does not require batteries, is very portable, takes up little space on the counter, and tells me when it needs replacement. I buy a pack of 6 toothbrushes, keep one in the bathroom, one in my car (with a small tube of toothpaste), one in my suitcase, and the other three in the storage cabinet. Further, as an Oral B customer user, and as a dentist, this toothbrush is ideally designed to clean one's teeth. It has adequately sized "soft" bristles, never use any toothbrush firmer than soft!), has a comfortable handle, and has an indicator stripe on the bristles that tell you when to replace the toothbrush. At less than $2.25 a toothbrush, this is a "best-buy"!
I have never bought into the idea that one needs a mechanical toothbrush to adequately clean one's teeth. Yes, a mechanical toothbrush is all the rage now, but it has never been shown to me through objective studies that mechanical toothbrushes are superior to the results obtained from a simple non-powered toothbrush. Mechanical toothbrushes certainly have advantages and have their place in oral hygiene, but they are not mandatory by any means. One can do an excellent job of oral hygiene without resorting to an expensive mechanical toothbrush.
Oral B is a leader in the field of oral hygiene products. I respect their quality products and their company. I highly recommend this toothbrush and all Oral B products. You can't go wrong with Oral B (and no, I am not a representative of the company!)>
